Meet Debbie

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Let’s start with the personal stuff…

I’m Debbie, a multi-passionate human who loves to make things with my hands, delve deeply with my mind, and love fully with my heart.

I live amongst the wild forests of the Blue Mountains near Sydney, Australia, with my partner and two children.

I sometimes wonder if my soul made a deal before coming to earth that I would go through a lot while I was here, and that I would be continually inspired to share what I learned to help other people heal and flourish.

I love to laugh, be still, write, make art, read, go on adventures, enjoy our (many and varied) animals and marvel at the miracle of Mother Nature.

I’m also a firm believer that Simplicity is the key. To almost everything.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]And now the professional stuff…

I’m a registered Psychologist who has been practising for more than 15 years. My clinical experience in that time has spanned multidisciplinary mental health clinics, child and family counselling centres, clinical research work, school psychology services and working in the rehabilitation and paediatric disability sectors.

I have specialist training in assessment and therapeutic intervention for a wide range of difficulties, including relationship troubles, self esteem issues, anxiety, depression, Autism, AD/HD, behavioural problems, parenting challenges, eating and sleep disorders. I’ve mentored, trained and supervised many students, provisional psychologists and counsellors, and am a certified Simplicity Parenting Coach and group facilitator.

I take a compassionate, respectful and holistic approach to helping clients heal from past pain, move beyond survival mode and make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.

I’m based in the Blue Mountains near Sydney and currently offer Skype sessions to adult clients (these may be claimable on Medicare depending on where you live) and home visiting to local families. Available spots are limited each month.

PS: for those interested in the specifics, I’m a fully registered Psychologist with AHPRA. I’m also:
